Greetings Savannah Zombie Walk Lovers!!
We have some unfortunate and fortunate news.
We have decided it will be in our best interest to reschedule this years Zombie Walk. This decision did not come easy. We just cannot make it happen– most of our makeup volunteers have already committed to other events (or have kids to take Trick or Treating), difficulty with entertainment and band scheduling, after-party logistic conflicts, a lack of vendors, and too many event overlaps have impacted our event, not to mention the mere fact that it is Halloween. So instead of having a less than stellar event, we have reached a difficult decision: to cancel and reschedule.
We have rescheduled with the amazing City of Savannah for Saturday April 2, 2016.
We hope you understand our decision and that you will join us in April for a stellar event!
Finally, speaking of event overlapping:
We really feel strongly that Savannah Zombie Walk needs to support the Chatham County Panic in the Pen event and would like to urge our fans to assist them as well. Chatham County has assisted us greatly for our event (park rental, officers, parking, permitting, electricity, and overall general support) and this would be an amazing gesture to return the favor. If you do decide to volunteer, please mention you are with Savannah Zombie Walk or heard about the event thru us.
They are having a volunteer meeting Friday, October 9. There are 3 times available; 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 6 p.m. We will be meeting at the old county jail at 133 Montgomery St. **The organizers of Savannah Zombie Walk plan to be there at 6pm.***
